My road to temple university

Updated: Oct 1, 2023

Greetings Outside J. family. I hope all is well. Today I want to talk about my journey to Temple University. Although it has been raining a lot compared to California, the experience so far has been great. I am majoring in sports management as I plan to work in the NBA as a general manager. I've been meeting with different professors and administrators who are a part of my major. We have been discussing how what I do in the community can be used as industry hours to graduate.

I've been meeting new people every day and now have some cool friends. One of whom is from California as well. I've recently had the Philly cheesesteak and it tastes pretty cool! I've visited the Rocky statue, toured different art and cultural museums, and have even played top golf.

So far, I'm having a good time and am glad I decided to come to this school. I am very excited for the upcoming tournament planned for October 14th and I will post more information about that soon.

I couldn't have made it here on my own. I want to thank all of the organizations that provided scholarships to help with the financial cost: Foot Locker Foundation, Temple University, The Inglewood Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Build a Better Future/Honors Grad U, Faithful Central Bible Church, Alpha Kappa Alpha Tu Beta Omega Marina Del Rey Chapter, Sandpiper Foundation, Isaac Bruce Flight Foundation, Bridge Builders Foundation, Randal Simmons Foundation, The Mu Sigma Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., California Legislative Black Caucus, Riordan Foundation, Congressional Black Caucus Spouses Education Foundation, Alpha Kappa Alpha's Mu Lambda Omega Chapter, The Los Angeles Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, and Spectrum 1 News!!!
